“ If you're in Eureka Springs and you don't visit this place, why are you even in Eureka Springs. Very good food. Very attentive staff. Motorcycle friendly as well. They even wished us safe travels as we left. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in the area. ”
“ This is the second time we've eaten here, four years in between. It was just as good, if not better, than I remember. The waitress was awesome! Food was delicious! My husband got the duck, and I got Jager schnitzel. It is pricey, but we knew this ahead of time. Even splurged and got dessert! ”
“ (4.5) Excellent old school German fine dinning straight out of a scene from Fast Times without the over the top waitress. I’ve dined here several times over a span of 20 years and my biggest compliment is that it has improved each time. The Bavarian Inn may be a bit of an acquired taste, especially these days. I say that because those that have never dined at an old school upscale type German restaurant may just see things as dated or even rude, I assure you it’s not, it is however classic and that makes some nervous. The menu is concise, the service impeccable thou some servers may come across as stoic. Our meal was fantastic start to finish. We all ordered from the German / Czech offerings, the American offerings are steaks and chops. We were extremely impressed with the bratwurst, the best we’ve had, and yes I spent many years up north in heavily German areas. Another surprise was the sauerkraut, all red cabbage with a smooth texture and flavor. The duck, goulash and Sauerbraten were all delicious. To finish, the German chocolate cake and coffee fit the bill perfectly. For those over 50 you’ll probably get it assuming you haven’t spent your life dinning at fast food and chain restaurants. Those younger might want to do some research, at least watch a couple of episodes of Mad Men to truly appreciate the atmosphere, service and cuisine. ”
“ Very clean and neat German/Czech restaurant. Great tasting food with European specific. My goulash was fantastic that my son had changed his order just to enjoy his own plate. So was the German chocolate dessert. Very polite and respectful personnel, knowing the etiquette and acting accordingly. Not a cheap place, but definitely you get what you paid for. There is also a lodge with pool, fire place and other amenities along with a small gift shop. I was nicely impressed. ”
“ Atmosphere, service, and food are all great. They are closed on Monday's and don't open until 5pm, they only operate from spring to the beginning of winter. We had saurkraut soup, Bavarian plate, Saurbraten, apple strudel, and German chocolate cake. My wife suggests asking for a side of their homemade Carmel sauce for the strudel. All the food was great! ”
“ A true gem of Eureka Springs! We had an amazing, homemade meal with fantastic flavors. Everyone in our group had clean empty plates, the food was so delicious. The meats were so fresh and tender, cooked beautifully. The homemade gnocchi on the Chicken Anna Marie was exquisite. Their Czech mushrooms were great and are also forged from their family in Czech Republic. We had to get their German Chocolate Cake and Lemon Cake to go which were sooo perfect! We have always wanted to stop in here on other trips, and during our first night on a little family trip we decided it was the night and we cannot believe we waited so long but we will be back! The staff were very friendly and fast, we even got to speak with the woman behind it all! They also have a great selection of German beers and lots of wine! The atmosphere and decorations reminded my fiance’s mother of her grandmother’s house which really made it even more special. A great spot to visit in Eureka Springs! ”
“ The food was great... we had the Wiener Schnitzel I had the soup and I’m not a fan of Sauerkraut but it was really good. My friend had the salad and she said they should bottle the vinaigrette and sale it! Now the desserts however were AMAZING! Whoever makes them needs a raise! I had the praline cheesecake and my friend had the lemon cream cake.. we ate every bit and I was about the start licking the plate to get all of the sauce . ”
“ Holy duck! The skin was so flavorful, meat tender, cabbage perfect! I'll have dreams about this entree!! We selected the Bavarian plate and sauerkraut soup for starters, delicious! I enjoyed the duck, my partner enjoyed the shrimp, and my friend had the schnitzel. For dessert we indulged in the German chocolate cake, lemon cake and cheesecake, perfect end to the meal. Our waiter was attentive, the atmosphere inviting and the food delicious! Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything! ”
